Mason County Public Utility District No. 3's first Public Service VideoMason County Public Utility District No. 3 has begun using in-house talent to create videos to educate and inform its customers on issues ranging from energy conservation to rates and outage information.

The first such video, about setting the safe temperature on a water heater, was posted last week on the PUD 3 website and on the PUD’s YouTube channe

Justin Holzgrove, the district’s conservation manager, said “the conservation department hopes that simple, how-to videos and demonstrations will teach customers how to make small adjustments to their home’s energy usage and reduce their monthly utility bill.” read more »

Mike Hale, president, expects to be open for business July 4th. “We think that great beer and nice food go together like a horse and carriage and look forward to convincing others to leave the wine behind,” said Hale.

The 7,869-square-foot restaurant will be located at the north end of the center next to Kohl’s. In preparation for the construction of the restaurant, two current retailers moved to new locations. read more »


2010 Volvo C30In addition to the market introduction of a plug-in hybrid in 2012, work is currently under way on evaluating the viability of an entirely electric-powered car known as a BEV (Battery Electric Vehicle). In 2009, a small number of prototype versions of the C30 BEV have been built and tested internally by Volvo.
