Building A Sustainable Economy lecture series continues on Bainbridge Island

Can an industry said to be an ecological disaster transform into responsible, environmentally sensitive businesses?

Yes, says Jeff Mendelsohn, one of America’s 30 top social entrepreneurs as selected by Forbes magazine.

The founder and CEO of New Leaf Paper will explain how his company is driving a fundamental shift toward sustainability in one of the most resource-intensive industries in the world. “Changing Business for Good” is the topic for Mendelsohn’s presentation on Dec. 13 in the BASE (Building A Sustainable Economy) lecture series. It will start at 5:30 p.m. at the Bainbridge Public Library, 1270 Madison Ave. N., with a reception to follow.

RSVP for free admission at www.bi-change.eventbrite.com. Remaining seats will be first come, first served at the door.

The BASE lecture series is sponsored by Bainbridge Graduate Institute, Bainbridge Chamber of Commerce, Sustainable Bainbridge and Bainbridge Public Library.
