KOMO Homes of DistinctionThis is the third and final weekend of the KOMO Homes of Distinction tour presented by KOMO-TV and featuring two homes built by Choice Construction of Gig Harbor.

The two luxury homes showcase the latest in building products and design trends during the public tour that is raising funds for Young Life.

The homes, located in Gig Harbor and Sammamish, will be open to tour from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on July 26 and 27, and from noon to 5 p.m. on July 28. The admission fee of $10 to tour one home or $15 to tour both will be used to help Young Life continue to make a positive impact on the lives of kids in the Seattle area.

KOMO Homes of DistinctionFor tours of the Gig Harbor home, parking is available in Sehmel Homestead Park’s amphitheater lot at 10123 78th Ave. NW, and shuttle service will be provided to the home.

The two family residences on the tour are dramatically different in style and design. The Sammamish house is an elegant, 5,990-square-foot Mediterranean-style home featuring an opulent use of marble and over 30 ornate columns.

The Gig Harbor home, in contrast, is a fascinating departure from a traditional look, with over 4,100 square feet of clean lines and inventive, elemental finishes handcrafted by local Puget Sound artisans. This Northwest Contemporary home has a gourmet kitchen showcasing a window wall that folds open to a gorgeous outdoor living space, all part of the modern, inviting functionality of this family home.

Choice Construction’s selection as the featured builder in the 2013 Homes of Distinction tour was the subject of a cover story in the September 2012 edition of the Kitsap Peninsula Business Journal.
