Community Leader Ed Wolfe to run for Kitsap County Commission

Ed WolfeBremerton resident and community leader Ed Wolfe announced today that he will file to run for the Central Kitsap County Commission seat which will be vacated by Commissioner Josh Brown. He will file as a Republican candidate in May of next year.

“After careful consideration and discussion with my wife Wendy, and many trusted friends and supporters, I’ve decided to run for Kitsap County Commissioner in 2014,” stated Wolfe. “I’ve spent years living and working in our community, and believe now is the right time to take this next step to serve Kitsap County as Commissioner.”

Wolfe is well known among community organizations and service groups, including Rotary, Boys & Girls Club, Olympic College Foundation, Puget Sound Naval Bases Association and the Bremerton Chamber of Commerce. In 2012 he served as County Chairman for the Rob McKenna for Governor Campaign, helping to deliver a majority in the county. He founded Wolfe Law Offices in 1997, and has built a successful business that has effectively served scores of families and businesses for more than fifteen years.

Ed served as U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of State with the rank of Ambassador in two Administrations, and is a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was the President of the Kitsap Bar Association, and was appointed Judge Pro-Tem to Kitsap County District Court and the cities of Bremerton, Bainbridge Island and Gig Harbor.

“I look forward in the months ahead to sharing more about my ideas that draw on my business, government, and legal experiences and that support a bipartisan approach to our county government,” added Wolfe. “It’s time to put my experience serving our country, local families and taxpayers to work in Kitsap County.”
